Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness over the overwhelming participation of people and their positive view over demonetisation in the App survey. Modi had on Tuesday urged citizens to vote on the demonetisation policy through the Narendra Modi app on their mobile phones. He asked the public to participate in a survey where a number of questions have been posed with regard to scrapping of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
Modi tweeted the result on Wednesday saying its satisfying to read the insightful views & comments. As per the result, 90 per cent people believe that the government’s step to demonetise high value currency notes will end black money and corruption.

Addressing the BJP parliamentary party meeting yesterday, the Prime Minister said the demonetisation of high value currency is just a beginning of his government’s deep and continuous struggle against black money, adding such types of action will be continued to make India an honest economy.
Asserting that this decision is in the interest of poor and middle class, he said that his government is dedicated to eradicate the evils of black money and corruption, which have affected the people in the last 70 years.
On November 8, Modi in a surprise move announced demonetisation of 500 and 1,000 rupee notes and since then, long queues before banks and post offices are seen to deposit or exchange these currencies. Despite criticism over the poor implementation of the policy, the government has maintained that demonetisation is aimed at checking corruption.
