Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala BJP on Monday blamed both the ruling CPI(M)-led LDF and opposition UDF for the present situation in the state where persons with suspected Islamic State (IS) links have been arrested.
Reacting to the news of five persons from the state being arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) yesterday for their suspected IS links, Kerala BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan alleged that the present situation had arisen as both the fronts had, over the years, "encouraged religious extremism" in the guise of opposing the saffron party.
"Both the fronts should understand at least now that it is not by supporting anti-nationals that they should oppose the BJP," he said.
Successive LDF and UDF governments in the state had taken a "soft approach" to small and big cases related to extremism, he alleged.
Attacking the LDF government, Rajasekharan claimed that no serious probe was conducted to ascertain the details of 21 persons, who were suspected to have joined IS after being reported missing by their families.
Yesterday, five persons with suspected IS links were taken into custody in Kannur district by the NIA.
The agency picked them up from Kanakamala in the Western Ghats near Panur.

7. PRETENDING THAT THEY ARE IGNORANT OF THESE HAPPENINGS;
8. INACTIVE TO VISUALISE THIS HIDDEN / OPEN CHALLENGE WHICH IS VERY SERIOUS TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY;
9. POLITICIANS DO NOT BOTHER BY THESE, THEIR MORE CONCERN TO MAKE SURE THE EXISTENCE OF THEIR POWERS;
10. THUS KERALA IS BECOMING SAFE HEAVEN FOR ALL UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS.
MY VIEW
1. THERE IS NO GOVERNANCE AT ALL;
2. THE NATIVE HUMAN POWER IS WASTED IN POLITICAL PROTEST MARCHING;
3. HARTALS, BANDHS, KISSING PARADES, LIKE ALL STUPID ACTIVITIES;
4. THE OUTPUT OF THE NATIVE IS TOTAL = NIL;
5. GULF MONEY FLOW GRADUALLY DECREASING;
6. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY IS PLENTY;
7. BUT NO ONE IS PREPARED TO DO MANUAL JOBS;
8. ALL STUPIDS WANT WHITE COLOUR JOBS;
9. WORK FORCE FROM BENGAL, ORISSA, BIHAR, TAMILNADU, AND MANY OTHER STATES FLOWING IN;
10. NUMBER IS INCREASING WITHOUT ANY MONITORING, CONTROL, AND NIL RECORDS;
11. DRUGS, CRIMINALS ARE ENTERING THE STATE IN DISGUISE OF LABOUR;
12. BOTH UDF AND LDF GOVERNANCES SLEEPING TILL THIS DAY;
13. TOTAL HAPAZARD, INDISCIPLINE, STATE;
14. THE NATURE IS PLUNDERED BY ALL SORTS OF MAFIAS;
15. GOVERNMET IS SITTING IDLE AND MOST TIME WASTED IN CONTROVERSIES. ....STOP,STOP, STOP THIS OTHERWISE GODS OWN COUNTRY WILL BE NO MORE.
