The question of how to live the values of life is not a new one faced only in modern times. It is as old as our scriptures. This is a weakness that every person faces in his life - the contradiction between his knowledge and his living.
**VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE PRESENT DAY PARENTS : - to direct their children - Follow Sincerely :
Your child is not different from you and you are not different from your child. Therefore, what you are, your child will be. Now you have to decide what you want yourself to be and your child to be, because the choice is yours.

"Abhayam sattva-samsuddhih Jnana-yoga-vyavasthitih,
dhanam dhamah yajnam ca svadhyayah-tapa arjavam."
Abhayam : is an inward feeling of fearlessness born of inner contentment. People with wants of every kind are afraid of so many things. Fearlessness is a quality of desirelessness.
Sattva-samsuddhih : is the manifestation of the sattva guna, resulting in clarity of perception, radiance in the face, and inward satiety.
Jnana-yoga-vyavasthitih : is an intense aspiration to get established in the yoga of the wisdom of God.
Dhanam : is a charitable nature, a giving nature, large-heartedness, not a selfish nature.
Dhamah : is the restraint of the organs of knowledge as well as the organs of action.
Yajnam ca : is a daily consciousness of it being necessary for us to adore gods, the divinities superintending over the cosmos, by external ritualistic sacrifice as well as internal sacrifice that is described in the Fourth Chapter, to which you may revert for brushing up your memory.
Svadhyayah : is daily sacred study of the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Gita or any holy scripture in order to enable lofty thoughts in the mind—without which, the mind will think of dirt and stink and very low things of the world on account of the strength of the activity of the sense organs. To prevent one’s subjection to sensory demands and the evaluation of things in terms of the sense organs, the study of sacred scriptures—which are the words of the saints, sages, prophets and incarnations—will be of great assistance.
Tapah : means austerity. It also means mental and sensory control—the ability not to allow the energy of the system to leak out through the apertures of the sense organs, and conservation of energy in oneself. This, essentially, is tapa?.
Arjavam : is straightforwardness. We should not say something, do another thing, and think a third thing altogether; that is crookedness. Actually, we should speak what we think, and behave in that manner. That is what is called straightforwardness—arjava.
To be continued ..
NOTE :
Role of parents and teachers in a child's life :
School, teachers and parents play vital role in holistic development of the child. Parents are the first mentor of the child and the teacher is the second. Both have an immense contribution and responsibility in shaping child’s personality.
Role of parents: Parents are the child’s first role model. Children behave, react and imitate same as their parents. Parents play important role in encouraging and motivating their kids to learn. Good parental support helps child to be positive, healthy and good life long learner. Children acquire skills at the very early stage of their life if the parents are responsive and understanding.
Role of Teachers: Major challenges for teachers are to nurture children’s learning and give him various experiences to face this challenging world. She molds the child to be a responsible and independent learner. Teacher is the first person from whom child learns his social skills in school. Teachers make him comfortable and guide him the early concepts and developmental skills of life. Open minded , well balanced and a planned teacher has a great power to bring a positive change in the child’s development. As the child grows and develops mastery in different skills, teacher becomes a real guide in nurturing his interest and learning to make him more independent.
Teacher-Parent Relationship– Trust and mutual understanding between parent and teacher is a real secret of child’s happy learning. Support and Cooperativeness from parents towards teacher helps a lot to connect, understand and work towards child. Remarkable positive change is seen in a child if the parents and teacher understand and work hand in hand. A good parent teacher relationship leads child to be positive towards attending school.
