Bharathapuzha is a 209 km long river which originates in the Anamalai hills of Tamil Nadu and flows into the Arabian Sea. 2. Once a perennial river that was a muse to writers, poets, dancers and musicians, today it is a dead river with vast dry stretches which fills up for a few days in the year when the monsoons arrive. 3. When the rains fail, the sandy stretches of Bharathapuzha are a reminder of the desertification that lies in store for Kerala if it continues to ruin its rivers. 4. Why speed of Internet is faster in USA than developing country  Bharatham? Ref : Media reports- PUBLIC SECTOR TELECOM COMPANY,  BSNL REDUCING 7% OF EMPLOYEES  BY NEXT FINANCIAL YEAR !!! 1. Bharatham  is mostly using technologies like DSL whereas USA has moved on to use Cable & Fiber Optics which provides way better speed. FUP data cap in India is too low compare to USA. 2. It is very sad to see that Bharatham being the 3rd largest country in terms of Internet users is still ranked way below the average in terms of the average Internet speed per user. India has 243 million internet user base and the average  speed here is just 2Mb/s. 3. Many of us know that we all need a medium to connect between a bunch of computers and servers across the World Wide Web aka Internet.
