Punjab Police have registered a rape case against former Gurdaspur superintendent of police (headquarters) Salwinder Singh.

Salwinder was subjected to a lie-detector test by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the January 1 Pathankot airbase terror attack.

Gurdaspur senior superintendent of police (SSP) Jagdeep Singh Hundal confirmed registration of a rape case against Salwinder.

The controversial cop was booked under section 376-C (sexual intercourse by person in authority) of the IPC following an inquiry conducted by Pathankot-based IPS officer SP (headquarters) GS Khurana into the complaint of a woman who had accused Salwinder of exploiting her, sources said.

My View

1. This Police officer is a criminal, already established;

2. Now to check his additional crimes committed automatically come to light;

3. Nation is eagerly waiting for the report : what justice to common men, when such criminals roam with Authority?
